Events and Activities

October 2009:

Plans are underway to observe the forthcoming Orionid meteor shower which peaks on the night of the 20th/21st October. Observing will be conducted from one of our two New Forest based observing locations - Bartley or Acres Down. Please contact us if you wish to be involved romseyas@live.co.uk  

July 2009:

Planning is currently underway for a series of observing sessions to observe and collect data for the forthcoming Perseid Meteor Shower. We shall be observing the shower in the week leading upto the maximum, the week of the maximum and also the week following the maximum. All data shall be submitted to the British Astronomical Society, the Society for Popular Astronomy and the International Meteor Organisation.
